AHAHA is a trio founded in 2024, consisting of pianist Petter Dalane, bassist Alf Høines, and drummer Martin Mellem, who studied and lived together for several years. The band is a vehicle for exploration, fun, and collaboration with other musicians. The style of music may vary greatly, but what always remains central is a playful and adventurous interplay and a willingness to let the music take its own course.

Dalane and Høines previously played together in Øyvind Mathisen’s Get Your Goat, and Mellem is a member of the Petter Dalane Quintet as well as a former member of Cosmic Swing Orchestra.
