Petter Dalane is a Norwegian pianist, composer, and bandleader born in Bergen in 1994, now living in Oslo.

He known from projects such as Petter Dalane Quintet and Get Your Goat, and is the founder of Cosmic Swing Orchestra, where he has served as pianist and musical director since 2018. He has had on and off colloaborations with John Pål Inderberg since 2017, and through his concert series Petters Jazzjam he has collaborated with numerous renowned musicians such as Knut Riisnes, Sun Mi Hong, Ingebirgt Håker Flaten, Sissel Vera Pettersen and Hildegunn Øiseth. 

During Trondheim Jazzfestival in May 2023 he was awarded the title of NTNU Ambassador.

From 2016 to 2018 Dalane frequently attended workshops held by the legendary bebop pianist and jazz pedagog Barry Harris (1929-2021), studying the music of Thelonious Monk and Bud Powell, some of his most prominent musical influences.
