AMBOS MUNDOS

Ambos Mundos is a collaboration between Cuban singer and percussionist Luison Capote and Andreas Svabø (bass), Thomas Antonio Debelian (percussion), Øyvind Brække (trombone) and myself, Petter Dalane (piano).

Luison is known as one of Norway’s foremost experts on cuban traditional music, and has contributed to a number of seminal latin bands on the Norwegian scene including Mambo Compañeros and La Descarga.

Under Luison’s musical dirction Ambos Mundos plays a combination of traditional cuban songs and jazz compositions in a similar style, with a personal and distinct sound.´
